Annie

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 10 years

Annie is a wonderful, loving cat who spent part of her life on Vigala street, raising kittens with another mother cat. They were all brought to the foster home, as the location was near a busy road and it wasn't safe for the kittens to grow up there. The kittens grew up and found homes. Annie herself remained at the shelter and over the years has become familiar with this place. Initially, Annie was cautious and shy towards people, protecting her kittens and keeping her distance. With time and gentle care, she learned to trust people. Today, Annie seeks closeness, enjoys being petted and her purring motor works reliably. During routine checkups, changes were detected in Annie's intestines and mesenteric lymph nodes, which caused the vet to suspect lymphoma, but the final diagnosis remains open. She regularly visits the vet and receives daily treatment, which means that she needs a stable environment and a consistent routine. Therefore, Annie is no longer looking for her own home. She will remain a permanent resident of the shelter - cared for and loved until she is given time.

ET·Show original

Annie on imekauni, kirgastes toonides kasukaga kassiproua, kes veetis osa oma elust Vigala tänaval, kasvatades seal koos teise emakassiga poegi. Nad toodi kõik koos hoiukodusse, sest koht asus suure tee ääres ja väikestel polnud seal turvaline kasvada. Pojad said suureks ja leidsid endale kodud. Rutiinse kontrolli käigus tuvastati Annie soolestiku ja mesenteriaalsete lümfisõlmede muutusi, mille põhjal on arstil kahtlus lümfoomile, kuid lõplik diagnoos on lahtine. Tekkis huvi? Täida ankeet ja paku kodu!

About Annie

What life with Annie looks like

Annie is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Gabrieli Loomade Elu MTÜ in Estonia.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇪🇪Adopting from Estonia

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Annie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Annie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Gabrieli Loomade Elu MTÜ handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Annie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Annie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Gabrieli Loomade Elu MTÜ will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Annie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Annie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Gabrieli Loomade Elu MTÜ early rather than rehoming privately; they know Annie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ET). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
