Adopt Anton

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 8 years

ANTÓN was rescued thanks to Agallas Association from a Galician dog pound. He arrived with a congenital problem in his legs that was successfully operated on, and now leads a normal life: a true champion!???? ANTÓN is a very, very affectionate dog: at first shy and submissive, but very, very affectionate, compatible with other dogs... he is a love that deserves to find his definitive family????. However, although still a little puppy, no one has given him the chance to be and live in foster care: Palencia, Valladolid or surroundings, we cover the costs. ????ADOPTION: all of Spain and even abroad, the family must come to pick them up. If your family is the right one, for foster care or adoption, don't wait any longer and ask about the good ANTÓN! With all my heart, he needs you to be happy???? Contact: 667849696 - 657961568 www.protectoradepalencia.org ????Album of ANTÓN's photos: Search on Instagram: and follow him! If you can't foster or adopt, help us spread the word, share, give a like… You never know which "share" will help them find their home.

About Anton

What life with Anton looks like

Anton is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Protectora Defensa Animal Palentina in Spain.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Anton, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Anton?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Protectora Defensa Animal Palentina handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Anton on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Anton if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Protectora Defensa Animal Palentina will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Anton already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Anton isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Protectora Defensa Animal Palentina early rather than rehoming privately; they know Anton and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
