Antonia

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 3 months

♀, born 4/2026, puppy-typical - agile - friendly in Bulgaria Antonia is a female Husky-Tamaska mix with a current shoulder height of approximately 28 cm. She will be estimated to grow medium-sized. Antonia was born on the evening her mother Akira was rescued along with her siblings. What luck for all of them. Safe and cared for, they were brought into the world. Now, starting in August, they are looking for a suitable home. Antonia, with one blue eye and one brown eye and white fur around her nose, is playful, curious, and interested as typical puppies do. She explores the exercise area every day, then rests with her siblings or with Mama. We are looking for people who are aware of the acquisition of a puppy that it's not just beautiful and cute but also work, training, and education. Because the dog times tables, being alone, house training, or walking on a leash... Antonia can't do any of those things yet. But with patience, calmness, the right encouragement, loving consistency, and positive reinforcement, Antonia will learn all that quickly. Cuddle sessions are also important. A house with a garden is preferred because Huskies don't like being in the inner city or in higher floors. Also, a social first dog who knows how to deal with puppies should be present. Because they are pack animals. Antonia will not be given up for outdoor or kennel housing; family connection must be available at any time of day and night. Antonia will enjoy exciting walks and tasks because activity is the key. Antonia will be vaccinated and chipped. She is too young for the Snap 4-D test and spaying/neutering. She is in a private foster home in Bulgaria. The deposit fee is €550. Do you have a suitable home for Antonia? Then please contact us via the contact form. ©2022 by Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. ♀, geb. About Antonia

What life with Antonia looks like

Antonia is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. in Berlin.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Antonia, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Antonia?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Antonia on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Antonia if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Antonia already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Antonia isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Antonia and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
