Anubis – The Egyptian legend who prefers hugs to myths Anubis, just 4 years old, bears a name heavy with symbolism… but he, has chosen an entirely different version of the story. In Egyptian mythology, Anubis is the guardian of passages, the one who watches over between two worlds. Where the deity is often associated with silence, shadows, and death… our Anubis is quite the opposite: he is alive, present, curious, and turned towards humanity. Where the myth envisions a being in black and white, he chose the light of gazes and the warmth of touches. Where one is often depicted as a sacred dog, he took the form closest to our lives: a friendly, gentle, and accessible cat. Anubis does not guard the gates of the afterlife… he opens those of hearts. He comes to you naturally, without detour, as if he already knew that his place is among humans. Very sociable, he loves presence, calm, and this simple bond that weaves itself effortlessly. No eerie mystery here: just a companion waiting for his family to write the next chapter of his own legend. Anubis is FIV+, but in his Egypt, it is neither a curse nor a hindrance. Anubis does not wait to cross another world… only to find his own. I await you at the shelter for a tender meeting. Together, we could form a beautiful team!
