Adopt Apollo – Hat Interessenten

English Bulldog · Male · Adult · 5 years

Which dog owners; at the moment we are looking for Apollo: In the new home, there must be no children and other pets. One needs a lot of patience, time, and understanding for Apollo. The new owners should be interested in dog training classes and training based on positive reinforcement. Understanding and willingness to work with a muzzle are required for Apollo. We are looking for a home with a terrace or garden, ground-level without many stairs. We would be happy if you could clarify this beforehand. History of the dog (why at the animal shelter) Apollo was a young dog and had a few escapes, occupying himself. Unfortunately, there were also incidents with children. That's why he ended up with us. Breed: Doggo Argentino x Bulldogge Born on: April 20, 2021 Country of origin: Switzerland Breeding country: Germany At the animal shelter since: October 2023 Character and behavior Apollo is a very funny companion who always brings a smile. He loves to thoroughly examine and dismantle stuffed animals, sometimes even doing this with his beds. He loves to eat more than anything, he can never get enough of treats, chews, or his daily food. He doesn't always find walks so great. Sometimes he loves them and on another day, he'd rather curl up in his warm blankets. He has a thick head, "Training" is overrated in his view. Nevertheless, it is important to teach him the basics of dog behavior so that he can get along well in everyday life. Unfortunately, Apollo has health issues; his musculoskeletal system doesn't always work as he would like. Sometimes his legs are faster than his head, and he also needs to learn to lift his paws better to move and not shuffle. Additionally, he suffers from food allergies. Apollo can be very clumsy, if you're in the way, he can knock you out of the way with a swing. That's why he shouldn't live with children and frail people. He also doesn't get along well with cats. Other dogs find him interesting on walks and he likes to observe them from a safe distance. Would you like to meet Apollo and give him a home? Please feel free to contact us by phone.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

About Apollo – Hat Interessenten

What life with Apollo – Hat Interessenten looks like

Apollo – Hat Interessenten is a medium-sized adult english bulldog dog waiting at Stiftung Paradiesli, Tierheim für Ob und Nidwalden.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Apollo – Hat Interessenten, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Apollo – Hat Interessenten?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Stiftung Paradiesli, Tierheim für Ob und Nidwalden handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Apollo – Hat Interessenten on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Apollo – Hat Interessenten if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Stiftung Paradiesli, Tierheim für Ob und Nidwalden will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Apollo – Hat Interessenten already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Apollo – Hat Interessenten isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Stiftung Paradiesli, Tierheim für Ob und Nidwalden early rather than rehoming privately; they know Apollo – Hat Interessenten and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
