When you see him, there's a giant, at 84 cm he is impressive, and he is. One treat with love for his human, but he is super independent and likes to run around on the premises of the animal shelter. He hates going back to his kennel; it's a dog who needs space outside. To be able to do his job as a protector, his own territory with his own people who will never put him in a kennel again. AQUILEO is a Mastin mix and comes from Muro de Alcoy, where he roamed. Probably escaped from a poorly secured area, and it's a miracle if his owner would come looking for him, but that almost never happens. And there he is in a kennel, the wonderful people at the animal shelter let him be as free as possible, but in the evening he has to go back to that kennel. This handsome guy is all happiness, social and smart, does everything to not have to be in his kennel anymore. But unfortunately, AQUILEO has to stay like this for now, it's the sad life in an animal shelter, where people are good to you. You get enough food and all the care you need, but you still have to go back to your kennel. We hope for a miracle for this great giant, someone who falls for him, experience with mountain dogs is a plus. A private yard would be best, but it needs to be enclosed with a high and sturdy fence. Friends on four legs would be absolutely fantastic, but not necessary. Walking this giant on a leash could be possible (after training), but the area around the house should then be a stimulus-free environment (no dog parks) but a lovely quiet forest. We won't place him in a single-family home - we won't place him in a multi-family home. It will be like looking for a needle in a haystack, but we've done it before. Lopen aan de riem – lerende Als je hem ziet staat daar een reus, met zijn 84 cm is hij imposant, en dat is hij ook. 1 brok met liefde voor zijn mens, maar super zelfstandig houd er van op het terrein van het asiel los te lopen. Het terug gaan naar zijn hok vindt hij verschrikkelijk, het is een hond die de ruimte buiten moet hebben. Om zijn taak als beschermer te kunnen doen, zijn eigen terrein met zijn eigen mensen die hem nooit meer in een hok zullen stoppen. Aquileo is een Mastin mix en komt uit Muro de Alcoy, alwaar hij rondliep. Waarschijnlijk ontsnapt uit een niet goed afgesloten terrein, en het is een wonder als zijn baas hem zou gaan zoeken, maar dat gebeurd bijna nooit. En daar zit hij dan in een kennel, de geweldige mensen van het asiel laten hem zoveel mogelijk vrij, maar in de avond moet hij toch weer terug naar dat hok. Deze knappe vent is een en al vrolijkheid, sociaal en slim, doet er alles voor om maar niet meer in zijn hok te zitten. Maar helaas Aquileo het moet nog even zo is het trieste leven in een asiel, waar mensen goed voor je zijn. Je krijgt genoeg eten en alle zorg die je nodig hebt, maar waar je wel weer gewoon je hok in moet. Wij hopen op een wonder voor deze geweldige reus, iemand die voor hem valt ervaring met berghonden is een pre. Een eigen erf zou het fijnst zijn, maar moet met een hoog en stevig hekwerk omheind zijn. Vrienden op vier poten daarbij zou helemaal fantastisch zijn, maar hoeft niet. Het lopen aan de lijn met deze reus, zou kunnen (na aanleren), maar de omgeving rond het huis moet dan een prikkelvrije omgeving zijn (geen hondenparken) maar een heerlijk rustig bos. Wij plaatsen hem niet in een tussenwoning – eengezinswoning. Het zal zoeken worden naar die naald in die bekende hooiberg, maar dat is ons al vaker gelukt.
