In 2018 came NICA to the Netherlands and quickly found a wonderful family. A stable dog that already lived there made her blossom immediately, love at first sight, and we thought a happy ending. But then something happened that can happen to anyone, a divorce, and unfortunately both partners had to go back to full-time work. Both dogs had to be rehomed, and her friend has found a new warm home via the foundation he came from. Keeping them together was unfortunately not an option because who adopts two large dogs. Also, NICA has Leishmaniosis, which is under control and she is on a maintenance dose of medication costing €24,- per month. At every blood test, it is checked whether the medication can be adjusted - reduced, so a blood test every six months is necessary (new blood tests available for review). Now NICA is alone and is urgently looking for a new home. It would be super nice for her if there was at least 1 stable dog. She doesn't like all dogs, although she is quite easygoing, but due to her own slight insecurity, she can't cope with dominant - insecure dogs. With children, she is great, very gentle and loving towards them, but of course, she is not a climbing frame. She likes to go along in the car, is not afraid of fireworks and thunderstorms, and can be alone for a few hours, but this will have to be built up again as in a new situation. We are looking for her companion, someone who does not work all day and gives her the quiet guidance she needs. It is a sensitive girl who quickly picks up on any unrest, so she really needs that person who shows her that every "problem" that comes their way is solved by him or her. Een stabiele hond die er al woonde die haar direct deed opbloeien, liefde op het eerste gezicht en wij dachten happy end. Maar dan gebeurd er iets wat er bij iedereen kan gebeuren een scheiding, en helaas zijn beide partners verplicht om fulltime te gaan werken. Bij elkaar houden was helaas geen optie want wie adopteert twee grote honden. En dan komt er ook nog bij dat Nica Leishmaniose heeft, dit is onder controle en ze op een onderhouds dosis medicatie kosten €24,- per maand. Bij elke bloedtest wordt er gekeken of de medicatie kan aangepast - verlaagt worden, dus een bloedtest elke 6 maanden is noodzakelijk(nieuwe bloedtesten ter inzage). Nu is Nica dus alleen, en zoekt met tot wel redelijke spoed een nieuwe thuis. Het zou voor haar super fijn zijn als er al minimaal 1 stabiele hond is. Ze vind niet alle honden leuk al is ze best makkelijk, maar door haar eigen lichte onzekerheid kan ze niet omgaan met dominante - onzekere honden. Met kinderen is ze geweldig, zo zacht en lief voor ze maar uiteraard is ze geen klimrek ???? Ze gaat graag mee in de auto, is niet bang voor vuurwerk en onweer kan nu een aantal uurtjes alleen zijn, maar dat zal zoals in een nieuwe situatie weer opgebouwd moeten worden. We zijn op zoek naar haar maatje, iemand die niet de hele dag werkt en haar die rustige begeleiding geeft die ze nodig heeft. Het is een gevoelig meisje die alle onrust snel oppikt dus vooral zij heeft die persoon nodig die haar laat zien dat elk “probleem” die op hun pad komt door hem of haar wordt opgelost.
