Ari *ca. 2019: The loving tomcat had to live on the streets for four to five years. His owners had abandoned him and no longer cared for him. A couple fed him and provided him with a sleeping spot in front of their house. How terrible must such a life have been for such a tame cat. Unfortunately, he found neither an intake at an organization nor a veterinarian. It was only when an animal rescuer reported this sad case to us that we did not hesitate and took the tomcat in. Ari was taken to the vet: geriatric blood test, teeth cleaning, chipping, and deworming were on the agenda. The bill quickly came to 623 €. Many people cannot afford such high veterinary costs, which is why found and surrendered cats often come on top of already existing animal protection cases. Ari is neutered. The tomcat is now searching for a home where responsibility is taken on and where he can look forward to a nice life in warmth. In the shelter, he is waiting for a kind visitor.

Ein Ehepaar fütterte ihn und richtete ihm einen Schlafplatz vor der Haustür ein. Wie schrecklich muss so ein Leben für so eine zahme Katze gewesen sein. Leider fand er weder Aufnahme bei einer Organisation noch einem Tierarzt, bis eine Tierschützerin uns diesen traurigen Fall meldete. Wir zögerten nicht lange und nahmen den Kater bei uns auf. Ari wurde zum Tierarzt gebracht: ein geriatrisches Blutbild, Zähnesanieren, Chippen und Entwurmen standen auf dem Programm. Die Rechnung belief sich rasch auf 623 €. Viele Menschen können sich solch hohe Tierarztkosten nicht leisten, weshalb Fund- und Abgabekatzen oft zusätzlich zu den bereits bestehenden Tierschutzfällen kommen. Ari ist kastriert. Der Katermann sucht nun ein Zuhause, in dem Verantwortung übernommen wird und wo ihn noch ein schönes Leben im Warmen erwartet. Im Katzenhaus wartet er auf netten Besuch.
