adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Some dogs carry their entire story in their eyes, and in Ariel's eyes, one reads of courage and the quiet wish to finally arrive. With her approximately three years, the pretty female dog is right in the middle of life. Her white fur, the distinct brown spots, and the irresistible black freckles on her snout make her a true unique – a "purebred stray"! Ariel's past was marked by worry: She brought her puppies into the world unprotected outside a village and desperately tried to bring them through. This time in the open has left its mark on her. She is currently still a rather reserved young lady who, while staying at the Fantanele shelter, waves her tail politely when you enter her enclosure and follows curiously, but still retreats if you get too close. For photo shoots, she also had to be carried as it was clearly evident that walking through the kennel facility made her afraid. Ariel needs patient and empathetic people who do not expect a finished dream dog, but give her the time she needs. She should and may set the pace for her adaptation without any pressure. Perhaps she has never lived in a house before and still needs to learn the complete dog ABC. Also, only over time will it become apparent which breed features lie dormant in the beautiful lady. All can, nothing must! Her humans should be ready to be surprised. Once Ariel arrives, she would certainly also look forward to attending dog training classes. She gets along very well with her kennel mates, so another animal companion in the new home could be possible but is not mandatory. Ariel has already proven as a dog mother how much love she can give; now it's time for her to receive this love herself and grow into her new life at her own rhythm. Ariel travels neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated, accompanied by her EU pet passport. After positive evaluation, a special thank you goes to the -Community. With your nametag sponsorship, you have given Ariel the chance to have her personal happy ending. Date: 02.05.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen!

About Ariel

What life with Ariel looks like

Ariel is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ariel, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ariel?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ariel on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ariel if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ariel already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ariel isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ariel and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
