Ferdinand ist ein kleiner Hundejunge, dem man aktuell noch ganz deutlich anmerkt, wie schwer der Start in sein Leben war und wie viel Schlimmes er schon erleben musste. Gemeinsam mit seinen Brüdern Linux und Patschuli wurde er auf einem Hof geboren, auf dem man sich leider nicht verantwortungsvoll um die Tiere gekümmert hat. Die Kleinen mussten dort großen Hunger ertragen und haben bereits erfahren, dass Menschen nicht immer gut zu ihnen sind. Zum Glück konnten sie dieser Situation entkommen und sind nun im Shelter in Fantanele in Sicherheit. Ferdinand zeigt sich momentan noch zurückhaltend, traurig und schüchtern. Man merkt ihm an, dass seine bisherigen Erfahrungen Spuren hinterlassen haben und er Menschen noch nicht vertrauen kann. Die Betreuer hier geben ihm nun die Zeit und Sicherheit, die er braucht, und zeigen ihm mit viel Geduld, dass es auch eine andere Seite des Menschen gibt. Ferdinand braucht vermutlich etwas Zeit, bis er sich öffnet und Vertrauen fasst. Doch gerade bei solchen kleinen Seelen sind es oft die geduldigen, liebevollen Menschen, die irgendwann erleben dürfen, wie aus einem vorsichtigen Hund ein fröhlicher und anhänglicher Begleiter wird. Hinter seiner Schüchternheit steckt ein junger Hund, der erst noch lernen muss, dass Nähe schön sein kann und er nun sicher ist. Mit anderen Hunden ist Ferdinand verträglich. Das Zusammenleben mit Katzen wurde bisher nicht getestet. Ein souveräner Ersthund könnte ihm möglicherweise zusätzliche Orientierung und Sicherheit geben, ist aber keine Voraussetzung für seine
