Arinka

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 6 months

Arinka is a charming puppy. She arrived at the shelter on 16.9.2026. The little one was found alone and abandoned in Kecskemét. It is likely that Arinka was abandoned. She had to experience being cast aside and unwanted as a young dog. But all that should be a thing of the past. For the future, Arinka only wants to stand on the sunny side of life. Luckily, she has survived everything well, both mentally and physically, and is ready to explore the world with her humans. Hopefully very soon, because she should not have to spend her childhood behind bars. Arinka is a little sunshine, full of life and full of energy. A loving, agile, lively and friendly puppy, sometimes shy in new situations, which is quite normal. Curiosity always wins quickly. Arinka enjoys caresses, attention and loves us humans very much. She seems not to have had any bad experiences with us bipeds, which is of course very good. She does not know anything about dog arithmetic and her new can openers must teach her everything step by step, lovingly, what Arinka needs to know for her further life as a full-fledged family member. Arinka is a rough diamond that still needs to be polished so that she can develop further into a great companion, but she will certainly make her future owners very happy, because she brings all the prerequisites with her to become a loyal companion who masters every adventure with her humans. Her new bipeds should be aware of what it means to take a young dog into their home and what responsibility they bear for a long time. Of course, with mental and physical exhaustion, adapted to the age and when she has settled in peace, Arinka would certainly be happy. Arinka gets along well with her fellow dogs and is currently (5.10.2026) being integrated into a young dog group. For our very dear Arinka, we are looking for a loving home with great people who welcome her forever and are aware of the work with a young dog. Dog enthusiasts who give her all the love, care, security and warmth she misses so much at the moment. Beautiful and varied walks, play, fun, lots of cuddling, a soft, warm sleeping place, enough rest phases, age-appropriate occupation and their own humans, which go with her on her further life path, that's what Arinka wishes from the bottom of her heart. In return, Arinka has a lot of love and action in her luggage. Who conquers the world with Arinka? Arinka is still too young for a castration, which must be done by her new humans when she is old enough. Estimated final size of 55-65cm and final weight of 25-35kg. On 5.10.2026 Arinka is 45cm and 12.1kg. Arinka can travel from the beginning/middle of November 2026 if she has found a home or a foster home.

About Arinka

What life with Arinka looks like

Arinka is a small puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Arinka, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Arinka?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Arinka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Arinka if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Arinka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Arinka isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Arinka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
