Gyilkos

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

A delightful Gyilkos, along with Berke, roamed aimlessly outside Nagykörös on 13.8.2026, prompting the shelter to be informed. A perilous place for two innocent canine souls. Fortunately, both dogs were secured and brought into the care of the animal shelter. Whether the two come from the same "home" or met "on the way," whether they were abandoned or ran away, how long they had been left to fend for themselves, all questions to which we have no answer. It will remain their secret. What we do know is, both dogs had no chip, no one was missing them, they were very neglected and full of fleas. They probably never stood on the sunny side of life, which we would like to change as soon as possible. Gyilkos and Berke have completed their quarantine period and are now looking for their humans, who will show them how beautiful life can be when cared for, loved, and respected. The two do not necessarily have to be placed together. Gyilkos was initially on edge, which is totally understandable, the capture also only succeeded with a catch pole, which is very traumatic for the dogs. Fortunately, he has recovered enough to be in the

About Gyilkos

What life with Gyilkos looks like

Gyilkos is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Gyilkos, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Gyilkos?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Gyilkos on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Gyilkos if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Gyilkos already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Gyilkos isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Gyilkos and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
