Arlia

Greyhound · Unknown · Puppy · 4 months

Arlia🦋 Arlia is a wonderfully confident, affectionate and outgoing girl who has a personality as beautiful as she is. She is one of those greyhounds who has a way of making you smile from the very first moment you meet her. Full of love, cheekiness and just the right amount of sass, Arlia brings so much happiness wherever she goes, and life simply feels brighter when she is around. She has the biggest heart and absolutely adores people. Being close to her favourite humans is one of her favourite things in the world, whether that means enjoying a cuddle, quietly spending time by your side or simply following you around to see what you’re up to. She is incredibly loving and forms such lovely bonds with the people who care for her. Arlia has so much love to give and wears her heart on her sleeve, making everyone around her feel special without even trying. One of the things I love most about Arlia is how perfectly she balances her gentle, loving nature with her wonderfully cheeky personality. She has so much character packed into one beautiful girl, and she keeps everyone smiling with her little quirks and playful moments. She certainly knows how to make her presence known, and her hilarious high-pitched “Arlia alarm” whenever it’s time for a walk or dinner never fails to make us laugh. It has become one of those little things that makes Arlia, Arlia, and honestly, we wouldn’t have her any other way.Although she has that wonderfully playful and sassy side, Arlia is still every bit the classic greyhound. She loves stretching out for a snooze, relaxing after a nice walk and enjoying all the comforts that home life has to offer. She has such a lovely balance between being calm and laid back while also embracing life’s exciting moments with enthusiasm. She is such a friendly, easy-going girl who approaches life with confidence and warmth. Her happy nature is completely infectious, and she has a way of brightening every room she walks into with nothing more than her beautiful smile and wagging tail. There is something incredibly special about the love she gives, and once Arlia lets you into her heart, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without her.More than anything, Arlia is simply a beautiful soul. She is kind, affectionate, full of character and has so much love still left to give. She has all the qualities that make greyhounds such incredible companions while also having her own unique sparkle that makes her impossible to forget. She is the kind of dog who leaves paw prints on your heart without even trying, and I know the family lucky enough to welcome her home will quickly realise just how special she truly is.Arlia is such a perfect representative of the breed. Her heart is as big as can be and she certainly isn’t afraid to show it. She gives her love freely to anyone willing to accept it, and I know she has stolen so many hearts during her time with us. There is something so special about the way she makes everyone feel welcome, loved and important, and it is impossible not to be drawn in by her beautiful personality. One of my favourite things about Arlia is how she can be that wonderfully sassy, cheeky girl who has everyone around her crying with laughter one minute, yet the next she is the sweetest, calmest soul who simply wants to make sure everyone around her is okay. She has such a lovely balance between fun and gentleness, and I truly think that her kindness and her sass are what make her, her. They are the little pieces of her personality that make her completely unforgettable.I also love how fiercely Arlia loves. Once she lets you into her heart, she gives you every piece of it without hesitation. That love doesn’t just stop with people either, it extends to her greyhound friends too. She absolutely adores being around them and has such a lovely social nature that everyone, both human and hound, seems to fall in love with her. When you meet Arlia, it very quickly becomes clear why she is so adored by everyone here. She is so deserving of all the love she gives out into the world, and I know there is someone out there who will match that love perfectly. Someone who will make her feel every bit as special as she spends her days making everyone else feel. Her kindness really is a gift, and I have no doubt it is something she will carry with her throughout her whole life. Add in those irresistible puppy dog eyes and that beautiful face, and she really is impossible to say no to.I absolutely love how social and outgoing Arlia is and how much she genuinely enjoys being around everyone. She has such a lovely energy about her that lights up every room she walks into, and somehow she manages to spread happiness wherever she goes. She has a way of making even an ordinary day feel brighter, and I mean… I just absolutely adore her, if that wasn’t already obvious!Arlia settled into life here at Clarks Farm absolutely perfectly, and we have loved every single minute of getting to know her. From the moment she arrived, she was completely at ease with all of the staff and honestly walked through our doors as though she had always belonged here. She settled beautifully without any fuss, and her confident, loving personality has continued to shine every single day.She is one of my go-to girls for our Meet the Breed sessions because she showcases everything that makes greyhounds such incredible companions. She wins over every single person she meets and has introduced so many people to just how loving, funny and wonderfully sassy female greyhounds can be. I know she has helped so many of her kennel friends find their forever homes, but now it is this beautiful girl’s turn to find the forever love she so deserves.Arlia truly does love everyone, both human and hound, and I have no doubt she will continue making friends wherever she goes. She would be more than happy sharing her forever home with another greyhound, or even two, as she absolutely loves curling up with her kennel friends and enjoys their company so much. Having another greyhound to snuggle up with would suit her beautifully.Equally, Arlia is such a people-focused girl that I know she would be just as happy as the only dog in the home. She absolutely loves being around people and would happily soak up every cuddle, every fuss and every bit of attention for herself. She really is such an adaptable girl, and I genuinely think she would settle happily into lots of different home environments. As long as she is surrounded by love, she will be happy. We feel Arlia would be best suited to a home with dog-savvy children aged 10 years and over. She absolutely adores people of all ages, but like many greyhounds, she does appreciate having her own space and enjoying a peaceful nap when she needs one. We do think there could potentially be younger children in the home, provided they are confident around dogs, understand when Arlia has had enough and can recognise when she simply wants to relax. Equally, I think she would thrive in an adult-only home or one with teenagers where she can enjoy life at her own relaxed pace. However her forever family looks, I know she will be happiest simply being surrounded by people who love her as much as she loves them.During her dog tests, Arlia was a little unsure and simply couldn’t quite work out what Blossom was. We decided to give her a second assessment and, although she was a little more vocal the second time, it was still very clear that she was feeling uncertain rather than reacting with any bad intentions. She wasn’t being naughty or difficult, she simply didn’t understand the situation she had found herself in.Arlia doesn’t need intensive training, but she will need a family willing to continue building her confidence around other breeds through positive experiences, gentle introductions and plenty of encouragement. We truly believe her uncertainty comes from confusion rather than anything else, and with time, patience and lots of love, we know she will continue growing

About Arlia

What life with Arlia looks like

Arlia is a large puppy/kitten greyhound dog waiting at Clarks Farm Greyhound Rescue in United Kingdom.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Arlia, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Arlia?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Clarks Farm Greyhound Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Arlia on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Arlia if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Clarks Farm Greyhound Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Arlia already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Arlia isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Clarks Farm Greyhound Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Arlia and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
