adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Aruna has found a home! Her story: Aruna's name is promising! The rising sun is the guarantee for a beautiful day and that can certainly be experienced with Aruna. Aruna is a lively young fluff ball, eager to start a species-appropriate life. She has great genes. Marianne, her mother, has already traveled to a family and shows herself there as a very loving female dog. Aruna is on the verge of transitioning from puppy to young dog. Her dream would be to be rescued from the shelter as quickly as possible and to learn everything that makes a happy dog life in an empathetic, loving home. Going to dog training classes with her Frauchen or Herrchen, learning the dog ABC, and also meeting many doggy friends. That would be great. Originally, the Stray mouse was found by animal rescuers together with her siblings and her mother at a place of horror: an abandoned sheep shed in a remote area of Romania. The dogs lived there together with other dogs in filth and among dead puppies. Those who are still alive have partly burn wounds, mutilated ears, or docked tails. Aruna was fortunately spared from this and is not affected by it. Due to her appearance, we cannot rule out hunting or herding dog genes. Although our sweet Strubbeline had such a negative start in life, she is - like her brothers Ducky and Fenrhir - always in a good mood and positive. She likes humans and gets along very well with her fellow animals. That's great! Life in the house is still completely foreign to the little ones. A sovereign only dog would be great, but it is not a prerequisite for placement. Aruna probably hasn't met cats yet. Aruna can be placed after a positive Additionally, she possesses an EU pet passport. Maybe you are the person who wants to dance through life with Aruna? Always with a smile on your face! Many thanks Melanie M.! You have given Aruna her name! Date: 27.09. This animal is microchipped.

Vielen Dank Melanie M.! Du hast Aruna ihren Namen geschenkt! Stand: 27.09.2025

About Aruna

What life with Aruna looks like

Aruna is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Aruna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Aruna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Aruna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Aruna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Aruna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Aruna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Aruna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
