Nevio – Pure energy and yet a cuddling king → Breed: mixed breed → Gender: male → Born: 01/2023 → Size / Weight: 44 cm / 25 kg → Neutered: yes → Vaccinated: yes → Identification: Chip → Compatible with: male dogs and female dogs → Incompatible with: N/A → Sponsorships possible: yes Description: Nevio is a young, medium-sized dog who exudes strength and energy. With his beige-white, shiny coat, he is a beautiful sight, but even more important: he has a big heart. Nevio loves people, seeks their company, and enjoys every shared moment – whether outdoors on adventures or indoors cuddling. He is not only an active companion but also a true cuddling king. So far, Nevio has spent his life in a pension. This means he is not familiar with living in a house and has not received any training. His new humans should be prepared to start from scratch, giving him time to adjust and accompanying him into his new life with patience, consistency, and love. Nevio needs to learn what everyday life in a family entails – from basic obedience to clear structures. We suspect that Nevio may have some pointer in his background, but this has not yet been confirmed.

About Nevio

What life with Nevio looks like

Nevio is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Franz von Assisi e.V. in Germany.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nevio, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nevio?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Franz von Assisi e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nevio on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nevio if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Franz von Assisi e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Nevio already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nevio isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Franz von Assisi e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nevio and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
