Astor, born approximately January 2023, neutered, approximately 55 cm shoulder height, in the shelter since April 2023. Astor was found as a puppy with his sisters Sunshine, Rain, and Nina after they were apparently abandoned. He has since developed into a wonderful male. Astor is not yet a dog that immediately jumps into anyone's arms. Nevertheless, he shows interest in people, takes treats willingly from the hand and enjoys human closeness in his own way. With some patience, empathy and the necessary time, he will certainly warm up and trust in a loving home. He is generally well-suited with dogs of his size. A home with small dogs, on the other hand, would not be ideal, as he does not particularly like them for some reason and reacts accordingly. Astor is an active, energetic male who would enjoy long walks, joint activities and occupation. He approaches new situations with curiosity and interest, but is still cautious and reserved. He likes to observe first and takes the time to learn things at his own pace. Therefore, we are looking for an active home with people who enjoy doing things with their dog and at the same time give him time to settle in and build trust. Located in Romania and allowed to travel if a home is found. Travels chipped and vaccinated (EU vaccination passport; vaccinations: rabies and basic immunization). All dogs are treated against intestinal parasites and ectoparasites on arrival at the shelter and at least once a year thereafter. The described behavioral observations are based on everyday life in the shelter and may be different in a domestic environment under changed living conditions. 06/2026 Astor, geboren ca. 01/2023, kastriert, ca. 55 cm Schulterhöhe, im Shelter seit 04/2023 Astor wurde als Welpe gemeinsam mit seinen Schwestern Sunshine, Rain und Nina gefunden, nachdem sie scheinbar jemand ausgesetzt hatte. Mittlerweile hat er sich zu einem wundervollen Rüden entwickelt. Astor ist aktuell noch kein Hund, der sich jedem Menschen sofort in die Arme wirft. Dennoch zeigt er Interesse an Menschen, nimmt Leckerchen gerne aus der Hand und genießt die Nähe zum Menschen auf seine eigene Art. Mit etwas Geduld, Einfühlungsvermögen und der nötigen Zeit wird er in einem liebevollen Zuhause sicherlich weiter auftauen und Vertrauen fassen. Mit Artgenossen seiner Größe ist Astor in der Regel gut verträglich. Ein Zuhause mit kleinen Hunden sollte hingegen eher nicht sein, da er diese aus irgendeinem Grund nicht besonders sympathisch findet und entsprechend auf sie reagiert. Astor ist ein aktiver, bewegungsfreudiger Rüde, der sich über lange Spaziergänge, gemeinsame Unternehmungen und Beschäftigung freuen würde. Neuen Situationen begegnet er neugierig und interessiert, dabei aber durchaus noch vorsichtig und zurückhaltend. Er beobachtet zunächst gerne und nimmt sich die Zeit, Dinge in seinem eigenen Tempo kennenzulernen. Für ihn wünschen wir uns daher ein aktives Zuhause bei Menschen, die Freude daran haben, gemeinsam mit ihrem Hund etwas zu unternehmen und ihm gleichzeitig die Zeit geben, in Ruhe anzukommen und Vertrauen aufzubauen. Befindet sich aktuell in Rumänien und darf ausreisen, wenn er ein Zuhause gefunden hat. Reist gechipt und geimpft (EU Impfpass; Impfungen: Tollwut und Grundimmunisierung). Alle Hunde werden bei ihrer Ankunft im Shelter sowie anschließend mindestens einmal jährlich gegen Darmparasiten und Ektoparasiten behandelt. Die geschilderten Verhaltensbeobachtungen basieren auf dem Alltag im Shelter und können sich in einem häuslichen Umfeld unter veränderten Lebensbedingungen entsprechend anders darstellen.
