Astrid came into our care from a hoarding situation where over 40 cats were living in the same home. Many of the kittens were struggling with symptoms of cat flu, and Astrid has had quite a journey since arriving with us. She has now been in our care for around five months, and although she has made progress, she is beginning to find the shelter environment increasingly stressful. We feel that what Astrid really needs now is a calm, quiet and understanding home where she can relax, settle in at her own pace and show her true personality. Astrid can be a little sassy at times — she certainly knows her own mind! 😸 She will need someone who can understand her boundaries, give her the space she needs and appreciate her for the wonderfully individual cat that she is. We know that the right home could make all the difference to Astrid. With patience, kindness and plenty of understanding, we hope she can finally leave the shelter behind and enjoy the peaceful life she deserves.
