People-oriented, food-motivated, already accustomed to harness and leash and well-compatible with female dogs - Atax brings many qualities that make him a faithful companion. The approximately 7.5-year-old male dog with his distinctive coat pattern and cute ears not only impresses visually, but above all through his gentle and friendly nature. As soon as people are near him, Atax comes to life. He enjoys affection and cuddles and shows himself to be a real snuggler. At about 60 cm shoulder height and around 25 kg in weight, Atax is a sporting dog of medium to larger build who finally wants to experience life outside the kennel. Since October 2024, he has been waiting for his chance. In the shelter, he is visibly suffering from the cramped conditions and lack of stimulation - he longs so much for a home of his own. Atax is eager to learn, active and open-minded. He likes to work with you with the right motivation - especially through food - and wants to please. He already knows how to wear a harness and leash, although lead training still needs to be practiced further, as he currently pulls quite strongly. With patience and training, he will surely make quick progress here. He has a natural urge to move, which is why we are looking for active people who enjoy challenging him both physically and mentally. Long walks, search games, or trips into nature would certainly bring him great joy. A home with a garden would be ideal, but is not a requirement. Atax was found as a young street dog in Romania. He came to a public shelter in Zalău and was already on the kill list there before he could be rescued. What he experienced before we don't know - but it is certain that he deserves a second chance more than anything. Even though Atax is very open and friendly, a new home for him initially means a big change. New people, new routines and new rules take time and empathetic support. Attending a dog training class that works with positive reinforcement can help provide security and strengthen the bond. Atax is generally compatible with other dogs, but appears much more relaxed with female dogs than with male dogs.

Menschenbezogen, futtermotiviert, bereits an Geschirr und Leine gewöhnt und gut verträglich mit Hündinnen – Atax bringt viele Eigenschaften mit, die ihn zu einem treuen Begleiter machen. Der etwa 7,5 Jahre alte Rüde mit seiner markanten Fellzeichnung und den niedlichen Öhrchen begeistert nicht nur optisch, sondern vor allem durch sein sanftes und freundliches Wesen. Sobald Menschen in seiner Nähe sind, blüht Atax auf. Zuwendung und Streicheleinheiten genießt er sehr und zeigt sich dabei als echter Schmusehund. Mit etwa 60 cm Schulterhöhe und rund 25 kg Gewicht ist Atax ein sportlicher Hund mittlerer bis größerer Statur, der endlich das Leben außerhalb des Zwingers kennenlernen möchte. Seit Oktober 2024 wartet er nun bereits auf seine Chance. Im Shelter leidet er sichtbar unter der Enge und fehlenden Auslastung – dabei sehnt er sich so sehr nach einem eigenen Zuhause. Atax ist lernfreudig, aktiv und aufgeschlossen. Mit der richtigen Motivation – insbesondere über Futter – arbeitet er gerne mit und möchte gefallen. Das Tragen von Geschirr und Leine kennt er bereits, auch wenn die Leinenführigkeit noch weiter geübt werden muss, da er aktuell noch recht kraftvoll zieht. Mit Geduld und Training wird er hier sicher schnell Fortschritte machen. Er bringt einen natürlichen Bewegungsdrang mit, weshalb wir uns für ihn aktive Menschen wünschen, die Freude daran haben, ihn sowohl körperlich als auch geistig auszulasten. Lange Spaziergänge, Suchspiele oder gemeinsame Ausflüge in die Natur würden ihm sicherlich große Freude bereiten. Ein Zuhause mit Garten wäre ideal, ist aber keine Voraussetzung. Gefunden wurde Atax als junger Straßenhund in Rumänien. Er kam in ein öffentliches Shelter in Zalău und stand dort bereits auf der Tötungsliste, bevor er gerettet werden konnte. Was er zuvor erlebt hat, wissen wir nicht – sicher ist jedoch, dass er eine zweite Chance mehr als verdient hat. Auch wenn Atax sehr offen und freundlich ist, bedeutet ein neues Zuhause für ihn zunächst eine große Umstellung. Neue Menschen, neue Abläufe und neue Regeln brauchen Zeit und eine einfühlsame Begleitung. Der Besuch einer Hundeschule, die mit positiver Verstärkung arbeitet, kann dabei unterstützen, Sicherheit zu geben und die Bindung zu stärken. Mit anderen Hunden ist Atax grundsätzlich verträglich, zeigt sich jedoch mit Hündinnen deutlich entspannter als mit Rüden. Eine
