Adopt Aurora

Mixed Breed · Female · Senior · 11 years

Beautiful female dog for adoption! Aurora was found by people in a terrible condition... She came to us with a lot of ticks and fleas, she didn't know what was happening, what had happened, she was uncertain and distrustful, just scared... Aurora can be shy with new people, but quickly gains trust. With people she knows, she is sociable, affectionate, and thirsty for human touch. She offers herself for pets - she loves being rubbed on the back part of her spine, then she starts to dance. On walks she likes to run, she is a rather energetic spaniel, quick to learn new tricks. She is a calm and non-confrontational female dog. Aurora is a beautiful, medium-sized female dog in the terrier type. Gets along with other dogs, walks nicely on a leash. Aurora needs some time, she is not trusting of everyone. We are looking for an experienced family with dogs with a character, a house without children. Born in 2015. Microchipped, vaccinated, spayed.

Piękna Suczka do adopcji! Aurora została znaleziona przez ludzi w strasznym stanie… Trafiła do nas z ogromem wbitych kleszczy i cieczką, nie wiedziała co się dzieje, co się stało, była niepewna i nieufna, po prostu się bała… Aurora do nowo poznanych osób bywa nieśmiała, lecz szybko nabiera zaufania. Do znanych jej osób to proludzka, kontaktowa, spragniona dotyku człowieka istotka. Nadstawia się do pieszczot – uwielbia głaskanie po tylnej części grzbietu, wtedy zaczyna tańcować. Na spacerach lubi sobie pobiegać, jest dość energiczną sunią, szybko się uczy nowych sztuczek. To pogodna i niekonfliktowa sunia. Aurora to przepiękna, średniej wielkości sunia w typie foksteriera. Dogaduje się z innymi psami, ładnie chodzi na smyczy. Aurora potrzebuje trochę czasu, nie jest do wszystkich ufna. Szukamy Rodziny z doświadczeniem z psami z charakterkiem, dom bez dzieci. Urodzona w 2015 roku. Odrobaczona, zaszczepiona, zaczipowana, wysterylizowana. Kontakt: Kasia 507 237 447 Ola 533 564 074

About Aurora

What life with Aurora looks like

Aurora is a senior mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Radom in Radom.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Aurora, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Aurora?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Radom handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Aurora on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Aurora if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Radom will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Aurora already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Aurora isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Radom early rather than rehoming privately; they know Aurora and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
