Azi

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 7 years

Critically adopted by: Jolanta and Henryk Mendrala :) Azi was taken in 2021 from a place where the owner allowed uncontrolled dog breeding. As a result of inbreeding, Azi has genetically deformed hip joints, which causes him to walk with a slight limp. However, this defect does not cause the dog any suffering. Azi is very attached to his sister Zoya, likes the company of other dogs, so it would be good if he ended up in a home with another balanced dog. Azi is full of joy, likes walks with our volunteers, and willingly gives himself into their gentle hands. He is eager for treats, and gladly cooperates for them.

Wirtualnie zaadoptowany przez: Jolanta i Henryk Mendrala :) Azi w 2021 roku został zabrany z miejsca, gdzie właściciel dopuścił do niekontrolowanego rozmnażania psów. About Azi

What life with Azi looks like

Azi is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Krotoszyn in Krotoszyn.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adopters usually cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Azi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Azi?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Krotoszyn handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Azi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Azi if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Krotoszyn will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Azi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Azi isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Krotoszyn early rather than rehoming privately; they know Azi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
