Baddi

Male · Adult · 6 years

Baddi – a calm male cat with a big heart Baddi is a 6-year-old male with FIV+, therefore we are looking for a home for him where he will be an only cat or live with another cat also carrying the FIV virus. It is important that he feels safe and calm. By nature, he is kind and gentle, although he needs a moment to trust. When he opens up, he shows his tender face and can form a beautiful relationship with a person. This is a cat who will appreciate patience, calmness and consistency – then he will repay with his presence and trust. Baddi is looking for a home where he will be accepted as he is, and where he will feel that he really belongs. We suggest getting familiar with the pre-adoption questionnaire and coming to the animal shelter with the completed form: Note: If you decide to adopt a cat or are considering it, please bring a carrier or transport bag to the animal shelter for transporting cats. Before adoption, make sure your home / apartment is safe and properly prepared for welcoming a new family member. Remember to secure the windows and balcony.

About Baddi

What life with Baddi looks like

Baddi is a small adult cat waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

Note from the shelter: FIV positive - needs to be only cat or live with other FIV+ cats only

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Baddi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Baddi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Baddi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Baddi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Baddi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Baddi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Baddi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
