Bailey had a difficult start at the animal shelter. He was afraid of us, and we of him. Amazingly, over time he turned out to be a pleasant, subtle, rational, and devoted dog. His eyes, once full of sadness, are now "Disney-like" - as if created to tell a story without words. Bailey is calm, not pushy, has refined manners. He loves walks at a tourist-philosopher pace, very willingly in the company of other dogs. His calm energy greatly influences other dogs. This balanced temperament does not prevent him from occasionally falling into a playful mood, jumps, teasing - he would really appreciate a companion for such antics. This is a dog who has his own opinion on matters important to him, but is open to compromises for the sake of the relationship with the caregiver. Properly guided, he avoids cars and cyclists. He knows how to ride in a car, wear a muzzle, and handle vet visits and grooming, although he fears baths as much as the devil fears holy water. He curiously looks into all rooms, and his favorite is the adoption office - as if nurturing hope under his skin that someone will finally come and sign this most important document for him: adoption. Bailey miał trudny start w schronisku. On bał się nas, a my jego. Niesamowite, bo z czasem okazał się być psem przyjemnym, subtelnym, racjonalnym i oddanym. Jego oczy dawniej przepełnione smutkiem, dziś są takie „disneyowskie” – jakby stworzone, by opowiadać historię bez słów. Bailey jest spokojny, nienachalny, ma wytworne maniery. Uwielbia spacery w tempie turysty-filozofa, bardzo chętnie w psim towarzystwie. Swoją spokojną energią Bailey wyśmienicie wpływa na inne psy. To wyważone usposobienie nie przeszkadza mu od czasu do czasu wpaść w nastrój iście zabawowy, podskoki, zaczepki – bardzo by mu się przydał kompan do takich harcy. To pies, który ma swoje zdanie w ważnych dla niego kwestiach, ale jest otwarty na ustępstwa dla dobra relacji z opiekunem. Odpowiednio prowadzony, odpuszcza samochodom i rowerzystom. Zna jazdę samochodem, kaganiec, obsługę u weterynarza i pielęgnację, choć kąpieli boi się jak diabeł wody święconej. Z ciekawością zagląda do wszystkich pomieszczeń, a jego ulubione, to biuro adopcji – jak by pod skórą pielęgnował nadzieję, że wreszcie ktoś przyjdzie i podpisze ten najważniejszy dla niego dokument: adopcję.
