adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Baily has found a home! His story: Caution, Sugar Shock! Baily, Lorna, and Pauline are three adorable puppies who were rescued from the streets by our animal welfare workers. Although the three mice are now safe, a life in a kennel with the looming cold winter is obviously not a suitable place for the gang. They are simply too sweet. They are friendly and puppyishly playful. They love being held and cuddled by people, but also love to play with each other. They are already beginning to orient themselves towards people, another reason why they should find a home as soon as possible. Baily is a dream in black, brown, and beige with white accent colors. When he’s not cuddling, he explores his surroundings on his wobbly paws and dreams of a family that will show him the big wide world. Baily is currently 32cm tall and weighs 6kg. He is likely to grow to be medium to large. He gets along well with other dogs, but cats have not been tested. Baily is looking for people who won’t have too many expectations of him and will show him how a normal dog life works. He is still a baby and has a lot to learn. Sometimes he might make a small mistake, but it shouldn’t be held against him, and Baily should always be guided with a positive training style. He is looking forward to his new life with nature walks, lots of cuddle time, and also a visit to puppy school. Puppies should not be left alone as much as possible in their first year of life. Additionally, the more demanding pubertal phase is approaching. The hormone chaos will turn the little rascals’ lives upside down. They “forget” a lot of what they have learned and their ears are on full blast. Therefore, it is especially important to consistently but lovingly train them during this phase. And there is also good news: This phase will pass! Then he will be microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas, and will also have his EU pet passport in his bag. Baily would also be happy in a foster home. In love with Baily? Then don’t hesitate. Baily is looking forward to your request. Thanks Silke Sch.! You have given the little Baily a name and thus an identity! Stand: 10.11.

Verliebt in Baily? Dann zögere nicht. Baily freut sich schon auf Deine Anfrage. Danke Silke Sch.! Stand: 10.11.2024

About Baily

What life with Baily looks like

Baily is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Baily, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Baily?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Baily on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Baily if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Baily already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Baily isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Baily and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
