Bajor

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 4 months

Hello! My name is Bajor. I was born on August 2nd, 2019, and I am a big, beautiful German Shepherd. I once had my own home – I lived with female dog Czudi on the company's property at Szybowa street. Unfortunately, after the death of our caregiver, our lives changed. We ended up in an animal shelter on December 14th, 2023, and since then I have been waiting for someone to give me a second chance. The beginning in the animal shelter was difficult for me. I was shy and hid from people. But you know what? I slowly discovered that humans are a great thing! Now I am as happy as a puppy when I see my caregivers. I love playing with toys – sometimes I even sneakily steal them, because who can resist a good game? I am a dog who needs time and patience to trust, but once I do, I will give you my whole heart. I have a lot of potential – I can be a great companion for walks, play, and maybe even training. I have all the vaccinations, I am dewormed, chipped, and neutered. I am ready to move into a new home – maybe yours? If you are looking for a dog who will repay loyalty and love for every moment of care, don't wait – come to the animal shelter and meet me. I promise I will do everything to make you feel it was worth giving me a chance. I am waiting for you!

About Bajor

What life with Bajor looks like

Bajor is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Zabrze in Zabrze.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bajor, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bajor?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Zabrze handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bajor on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bajor if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Zabrze will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bajor already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bajor isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Zabrze early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bajor and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
