Baki-4

Rottweiler · Male · Young · 2 years

Origin Country: Hungary We have a DNA breed determination pending. Baki arrived at the animal shelter on August 10, 2024, as a found dog, after being alone on the streets of Nagykörös. No chip was present, and no one had reported him missing. So, he was given the name Baki at the shelter and now has the chance for a loving home. He is a friendly, agile, and contact-seeking dog who can sometimes be a bit stormy and needs clear, but loving training. At the shelter, he is under-stimulated – his temperament and learning desire want to be fostered so that he can continue to develop positively. On the leash, Baki runs quite well but still needs practice. With a little guidance, he will quickly learn the dog ABCs, as he is motivated, curious, and wants to please his people. He enjoys mental and physical stimulation, gets along well with his fellow animals, and loves playing with them. Currently, he lives in the kennel with Rebarbara. For our lively sunbeam, we are looking for dog-experienced, active people who like to be outdoors – whether jogging, hiking, or cycling. Snuggling, play, fun, rest, and family connection make his happiness perfect. Baki is ready for a carefree, happy life! On September 16, 2024, a volunteer, Hungarian helper wrote: "We met Baki on the mentor day at the shelter playground, together with some of his dog colleagues. Baki is a young, friendly, child-friendly, and cooperative dog. He is curious and open to everything beautiful and new. With lobbasiert training, he learns quickly and can be well led on the leash. He enjoys being stroked and pampered by the mentors. Baki is waiting for his caring, responsible owner, a home where he is part of the family. He needs love, attention, and affection, of course regular daily walks, as well as playful activities and should never be left again! All the best, good Baki!" On August 11, 2025, a volunteer, Hungarian helper wrote: "Baki has lived at the animal shelter since August 2024. We have met him several times at the mentor playground, and he has already gone for walks. Baki has shown how friendly, lovable, trusting, people-oriented, and child-friendly he is. When he comes out of his kennel, he runs around the playground, sniffs, and releases his excess energy. After that, the most important thing for him is to be near people. He sits, snuggles, and asks for cuddles and affection. He also enjoys grooming. For every good word, he is grateful. When we work with him at the mentor day, he smiles and is happy. He always had a doggy buddy and now lives with another dog in a kennel. On the leash, he is well led." Since Baki is a mix, you must check the holding conditions in your community if you are interested in him. Baki is travel-ready.

About Baki-4

What life with Baki-4 looks like

Baki-4 is a young adult rottweiler dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Baki-4, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Baki-4?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Baki-4 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Baki-4 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Baki-4 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Baki-4 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Baki-4 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
