Adopt Baleronik

Male

Baleronik(B30) - Baleronik is an exceptional male cat who immediately attracts attention with his unique appearance and exceptionally open character. Completely black, with a soft, shiny coat, he stands out mainly because of his characteristic, drooping ears. After veterinary consultations, it turned out that this is most likely a genetic feature. There is a high probability that Baleronik is in the Scottish Fold breed, which gives him even more unique charm. The male cat was brought to the animal shelter for treatment and diagnosis. Currently, osteochondrodysplasia is suspected, a disease characteristic of Scottish Fold cats. This requires a responsible caregiver who will be ready to provide him with proper care, regular veterinary check-ups, and calm, safe living conditions. Despite health challenges, Baleronik functions well on a daily basis and does not lose his joy of life. He is an extremely sociable, affectionate, and people-oriented cat. He readily establishes relationships, seeks attention, and likes to be in the center of events. He is curious, but at the same time gentle and balanced. The presence of a caregiver gives him a sense of security, so he will best find his place in a home where someone will have time and heart for him. Baleronik easily uses the litter box, is clean and well-groomed. He quickly adapts to new conditions, provided there is a person by his side that he can trust. His calm nature makes him a great companion for everyday life, both for a single person and a family. We are looking for a responsible and aware home for him, which will accept his uniqueness and surround him with the care he needs. Baleronik will repay you with immense tenderness, loyalty, and calm presence. He is a cat who not only needs a home, but above all a person who will see more in him than just illness and will see in him a wonderful, loving friend. ul.

Kocurek trafił do schroniska w celu leczenia i diagnostyki. To kot niezwykle towarzyski, kontaktowy i spragniony bliskości człowieka. About Baleronik

What life with Baleronik looks like

Baleronik is a adult cat waiting at Schronisko Kielce in Kielce.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Baleronik, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Baleronik?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Kielce handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Baleronik on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Baleronik if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Kielce will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Baleronik already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Baleronik isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Kielce early rather than rehoming privately; they know Baleronik and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
