13-08-26 Bambi is a sweet but timid little lady who has come to us from a breeder. She is easy to handle and, with a little encouragement from her kennel friends, will happily come over for a sniff and to see what you're up to. However, she can quickly lose confidence and will retreat if she becomes worried. Bambi will need at least one kind and confident resident dog in her new home that she can lean on as she continues to build her confidence and learn about the world around her. She is a curious girl who is very intrigued by toys and by our kindness; she simply needs time and reassurance to help her come out of her shell. Bambi has never lived in a home before, so she will need patient and understanding adopters who can help her learn about house training and walking on a lead. She can live with older, dog-savvy teenagers aged 13+ who will allow her to settle in at her own pace. Her adopters will need to have some rescue experience so they can better understand her needs and support her as she adjusts to home life. With plenty of TLC, patience, and kindness, we are hopeful that Bambi's wonderful personality will continue to blossom. Bambi has a travel document. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
