BAMBÚ

European Shorthair · Male · Kitten · 4 months

By: CICAMPosted on July 21, 2026July 21, 2026Name: BambooAge: 03/04/26Date of entry into the center: 06/18/26Breed: European CommonSex: MaleBamboo was born in March 2026 and is one of Ciruela’s offspring. Together with his siblings, Olive and Camellia, he arrived at the center as a rather shy kitten. Of the three, he was probably the one who was most afraid of people. But affection works miracles. Thanks to the patience, daily dedication of the volunteers and center staff, Bamboo has learned that he can trust. Now he only needs a few minutes to leave behind that initial shyness. As soon as he gets to know you, he comes over, seeks contact, and enjoys cuddles just like the little puppy he truly is. If there’s one thing that defines Bamboo—besides how incredibly handsome he is—it’s that he’s the most playful of the three siblings. He loves exploring, running around, playing, and having fun, demonstrating the curiosity and joy typical of a kitten his age. All he needs now is a family that gives him the chance to fully gain that trust and shows him that love and security can last forever. Bamboo has a whole life ahead of him—a life filled with games, purring, and happy moments alongside the family that decides to give him the opportunity he so deserves. Do you feel up to changing his story?Categories: CATS

Categories: GATOS

About BAMBÚ

What life with BAMBÚ looks like

BAMBÚ is a puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at CICAM in Spain.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting BAMBÚ, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about BAMBÚ?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. CICAM handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw BAMBÚ on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt BAMBÚ if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — CICAM will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is BAMBÚ already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if BAMBÚ isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with CICAM early rather than rehoming privately; they know BAMBÚ and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
