Adopt BANAN

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 2 years

Ms. Okay. 2024 Weight 30 kg Gmina SKIERNIEWICE neutering Yes Other dogs Yes BANAN is about 1.5 years old, a small dog that was found on a garbage dump. All of his life so far has been away from people - he did not know humans, home or the normal world. What is obvious for many dogs is completely new for Bannan. BANAN is just beginning to socialize. He is cautious, sensitive and needs time to trust. Every day he takes small steps forward - he is learning that humans can be calm, patient and kind. This is a dog that requires an empathetic, conscious caregiver, ready to work with him at his own pace, without pressure or expectations "already". The ideal place for Bannan would be a house with a garden, where he could feel safe and gradually discover the world. He still cannot walk on a leash, so a space where he can freely go outside is very important for him.

Jest ostrożny, wrażliwy i potrzebuje czasu, by zaufać.

About BANAN

What life with BANAN looks like

BANAN is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Sos Psiakowo Centrum Adopcyjne in 99-423.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting BANAN, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about BANAN?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Sos Psiakowo Centrum Adopcyjne handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw BANAN on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt BANAN if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Sos Psiakowo Centrum Adopcyjne will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is BANAN already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if BANAN isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Sos Psiakowo Centrum Adopcyjne early rather than rehoming privately; they know BANAN and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
