adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Bandito lives currently in the Shelter in Bistrița and waits there to finally be discovered by his people. Unfortunately, we know nothing about his past, but one thing is clear: this small male dog has preserved his friendly and affectionate nature. Bandito meets people openly, joyfully, and incredibly warmly. He enjoys attention, seeks proximity, and enjoys every form of affection. With his charming nature and open personality, he quickly wins hearts. He seems like a dog who would simply like to be everywhere and finally be part of his own family. He also shows social and compatible behavior with other dogs. Whether he knows cats, we do not know at the moment. With his approximately one-year-old age, Bandito is still in the middle of his development. He brings a lot of curiosity, joy in life, and energy and would surely have a lot of fun with exciting walks, joint training, and mental stimulation. He does not just want to "go along," but rather wants to experience something with his people and discover the world. At the same time, one should not forget that Bandito has probably never lived in a real home before. Things like house training, leash manners, being alone, or everyday routines in the house must be learned by him. Moving into a new home brings many new impressions that can also be unsettling at first. Young dogs develop constantly, test boundaries, and question what they have learned again and again. His future people should therefore accompany him with patience, loving consistency, and clear structures. A visit to a positively working dog training class can be a helpful support and help build a good foundation for everyday life together. For Bandito, we wish people who enjoy spending time with their dog and want to offer him both closeness and mental stimulation. Bandito travels neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated with his EU pet passport to his new home. Thank you to godmother Natalie, who gave Bandito his name and thus gave him a chance at a new life. As of: 18.05.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 18.05.2026

About Bandito

What life with Bandito looks like

Bandito is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bandito, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bandito?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bandito on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bandito if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bandito already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bandito isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bandito and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
