Adopt Erin
Mixed Breed · Female
Erin is a beautiful 19-month-old Labrador who is looking for a foster home with a view to adoption to help her take her next steps into family life.Erin loves learning. Training is her happy place, and she would thrive in a home that enjoys working with their dog using kind, positive methods. She already has a lovely little repertoire of skills, walks nicely on lead, and has good recall, though like many youngsters, if something extra tasty appears, her ears may briefly go on holiday! Ongoing, recall work will be important for her.She would love to live with another dog who is happy to have her in the home and help show her the ropes. Erin is friendly with both dogs and humans and really enjoys companionship. Erin has previously had surgery for elbow dysplasia. She has made a very good recovery, and both her vet and physio are happy with her progress. She would benefit from continued physiotherapy and a slow, sensible build-up to full fitness. This means no ball throwing (as always, not something we recommend anyway). No excessive or intense exercise. No hours of manic running about. Instead, Erin will thrive with structured walks, training, enrichment, and calm routines. As with all our dogs, Erin will need time to decompress and settle. Kindness, patience, and understanding are key, and we’ll be there to support her foster/adopter every step of the way. Currently in Surrey. Erin needs the following: - A calm, patient family committed to positive, force-free training.- A home without young children(Erin is great with people, but as she hasn’t spent much time around children, we want to set everyone up for success).- A home where she won’t be left for hours alone. - A home where her family have the time to put in hard work with her training. - Someone who understands that settling in takes time, kindness, and guidance
