Barbie🩷 Barbie is a beautiful girl with a personality that’s just as lovely as her looks! She’s a friendly, happy-go-lucky hound who seems to have a knack for making friends wherever she goes. Whether she’s meeting new people or spending time with her four-legged friends, Barbie is always happy to say hello and has been an absolute sweetheart with everyone she’s met so far. She’s a lovely girl to have around and shares her space beautifully, making her a very easy-going companion. Barbie gets along wonderfully with other greyhounds and has also passed her small dog test, which is another lovely tick on her list of achievements! This clever girl has also mastered the stairs, so there’s no need for a Barbie Dreamhouse with everything on one level! She’s always happy to head out for her walkies and enjoys getting out and about to explore the world around her.Like many of us, Barbie has a couple of little things she’s still working on. Loud traffic can sometimes give her a bit of a fright, but she’s already making lovely progress and beginning to understand that those big, noisy vehicles aren’t quite as scary as they first seemed. With a little patience and encouragement, we’re sure her confidence will continue to blossom.Barbie really is a lovely all-round girl who has so much to offer. She’s friendly, sociable and wonderfully sweet-natured, and we think she’ll make a fantastic addition to a lucky family. She’s not looking for a life in plastic, she’s dreaming of a life filled with love, cosy sofas, lovely walks and a family to call her own. Could you be the Ken to her Barbie, or simply the family who makes all her dreams come true? About Barbie

What life with Barbie looks like

Barbie is a large adult greyhound dog waiting at Clarks Farm Greyhound Rescue in United Kingdom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Barbie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Barbie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Clarks Farm Greyhound Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Barbie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Barbie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Clarks Farm Greyhound Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Barbie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Barbie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Clarks Farm Greyhound Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Barbie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
