Hello, my little artist name is Basquiat. I am a neutered male Chihuahua, who arrived at Oasis at the end of June 2026, because the situation in my old home was no longer suitable for me. Indeed, the family had grown with the arrival of a baby, and my strong character no longer allowed a serene cohabitation. While my health is fine, it is my behavior that we have a few things to discuss. My former owners explained to the caregivers that, since my castration a few years ago, my strong character has intensified and I do not let anyone approach me. At Oasis, I found refuge with a person, and she can do everything to me, or almost. However, with the rest of the team, it is a bit more complicated. That's why, if you want to adopt me, you will need to be already used to dogs, and more particularly to those who, like me, need a more specific approach than my friends. The presence of other dogs and cats does not bother me, but it will not be possible for me to cohabitate with children. A calm and reassuring home, composed of present and stable people, will be essential for my fulfillment.

Bonjour, mon petit nom d’artiste, c’est Basquiat. Je suis un chihuahua mâle castré, arrivé à l’Oasis fin juin 2026, car la situation dans mon ancienne maison ne me convenait plus. En effet, la famille s’étant agrandie avec l’arrivée d’un bébé, mon caractère bien trempé ne permettait plus une cohabitation sereine. Si, au niveau de ma santé, tout va bien, c’est au niveau de mon comportement que nous avons quelques petites choses à discuter. Mes anciens propriétaires ont expliqué aux gardiennes que, depuis ma castration il y a quelques années, mon caractère bien trempé s’est accentué et que je ne laisse pas n’importe qui m’approcher. À l’Oasis, j’ai trouvé refuge auprès d’une personne, et elle peut tout me faire, ou presque. En revanche, avec le reste de l’équipe, c’est un peu plus compliqué. C’est pourquoi, si l’on souhaite m’adopter, il sera nécessaire d’être déjà habitué aux chiens, et plus particulièrement à ceux qui, comme moi, ont besoin d’une approche plus spécifique que mes copains. La présence d’autres chiens et des chats ne me dérange pas, mais il ne sera pas possible que je cohabite avec des enfants. Un foyer calme et rassurant, composé de personnes présentes et stables, sera indispensable à mon épanouissement.
