Dog experience is a prerequisite, clear rules and leadership are required, otherwise he decides for himself. good with female dogs, with male dogs it depends on the sympathy. no children, no cats or small pets with trusted people, a great dog, very cuddly and loving. Our Basti... well, where do we start... Basti came to us at the animal shelter in June 2019. He was a 4-year-old, imposing male dog... yes, he had a few quirks, but we all have them, right? He was skeptical and unsure around us. However, his positive sides soon became apparent. Now in 2023, our little headstrong one is still with us and has aged a bit. Over time, he had several interested parties, but it was never his people. Basti reacts to every slightest insecurity and immediately. That's why a muzzle and a good reaction ability of his new owner should be part of everyday life, especially in unclear situations. Basti chooses his people himself, we only list the prerequisites that should be given. Dog experience is a must. Ideally, a house with a securely fenced yard. So the vigilant male dog can fulfill his favorite task... keeping an eye on everything. To make sure no one feels disturbed, it should be in a more rural location. However, Basti is not just a farm dog. The proximity to his person is very important to him. He loves to lie in the grass next to his primary caregiver and soak up the sun on his fur. He is very much enjoyed being petted and cuddled. He will also be a lap dog sometimes. Of course, Basti also has a health issue. He was diagnosed with HD, which is currently treated with medication. He is doing well at the moment. So... We wish for Basti an individual or a couple who are dog-experienced, who have already familiarized themselves with the breeds. They should not have a problem using a muzzle and establishing clear rules. Additionally, they should have clear body language or be willing to learn it. Das ist sein Vermittlungstext aus dem Tierheim Neumünster: Bastis Eigenschaften: skeptisch bei Fremden wachsam Hundeerfahrung ist Voraussetzung benötigt klare Regeln und Führung, er entscheidet sonst selbst gut verträglich mit Hündinnen, bei Rüden entscheidet die Sympathie keine Kinder keine Katzen oder Kleintiere bei Bezugspersonen ein toller Hund, sehr verkuschelt und lieb Unser Basti….tja wo sollen wir da anfangen….. Basti kam im Juni 2019 zu uns ins Tierheim. Er war ein 4-jähriger stattlicher, imposanter Rüde….ja er hatte ein paar kleine Macken, aber nun ja die haben wir ja alle ;). Er war uns gegenüber skeptisch und unsicher. Allerdings kamen ganz schnell auch seine positiven Seiten zum Vorschein. Nun 2023 ist unser kleiner Dickkopf leider immer noch bei uns und ist leicht in die Jahre gekommen. Er hatte im Laufe der Zeit einige Interessenten, aber es waren doch nie SEINE Menschen dabei. Basti reagiert auf jede kleinste Unsicherheit und das sofort. Deswegen sollten Maulkorb und ein gutes Reaktionsvermögen seines neuen Besitzers zum Alltag gehören, gerade in unübersichtlichen Situationen. Basti sucht sich seine Menschen selbst aus, wir nennen nur Voraussetzungen, die gegeben sein sollten. Hundeerfahrung ist das A&O. Am besten wäre ein Haus mit Grundstück, welches ausbruchssicher eingezäunt ist. So kann der wachsame Rüde seiner Lieblingsaufgabe nachgehen…..auf alles aufpassen. Da sich niemand gestört fühlen soll, am besten etwas ländlicher gelegen. Allerdings möchte Basti nicht nur der Hofhund sein. Die Nähe zu seinem Menschen ist ihm sehr wichtig. Er liebt es neben seiner Bezugsperson/-personen im Gras zu liegen und sich die Sonne auf den Pelz scheinen zu lassen. Er wird unheimlich gerne gekrault und geschmust. Da wird er auch gerne mal zum Schoßhund :). Natürlich hat Basti auch ein gesundheitliches Wehwechen. Bei ihm wurde eine HD festgestellt, die bei uns medikamentös behandelt wird. Da ist er zur Zeit auch gut eingestellt. Nun also…. Wir wünschen uns für Basti eine Einzelperson oder ein Paar, die hundeerfahren sind, sich am besten schon mit den Rassen auseinander gesetzt haben. Sie sollten keine Probleme damit haben, einen Maulkorb zu nutzen und ganz klare Regeln aufzustellen. Außerdem sollten sie eine klare Körpersprache haben oder erlernen.
