"friendly Staff-Bub" Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier Gender: male, neutered Birthdate: January 2014 Gets along with dogs: yes, but stressed at the shelter Children in the same household: no Home sought: outskirts or countryside The American Staffordshire Terrier male dog Batman requires a short get-to-know phase and then is friendly with people he knows. At the animal shelter, he is too stressed for dog interactions – therefore, we cannot make any statement about his compatibility with others. Batman walks calmly on a leash, but he needs sufficient distance during dog encounters. Due to stress, he is also not house-trained at the shelter. Because of his distinctive gait, he receives pain medication (even though the X-ray was unremarkable) – his gait is now more rounded. To his trusted people, Batman is very friendly and enjoys cuddles. Batman came to us at the animal shelter because a bite incident occurred with his previous owner (we unfortunately do not know the exact situation). We are looking for a home for Batman in the outskirts or countryside.

Im Tierheim ist er zu gestresst für Hundekontakte – daher können wir zu seiner Verträglichkeit keine Aussage machen. Batman geht brav an der Leine, bei Hundebegegnungen benötigt er ausreichend Abstand.Stressbedingt ist er bei uns im Tierheim auch nicht stubenrein. Da sein Gangbild auffällig war, erhält er (trotz unauffälligem Röntgen) Schmerzmittel – sein Gangbild ist dadurch wieder runder. Zu seinen Bezugspersonen ist Batman sehr lieb und genießt Streicheleinheiten. Batman kam zu uns ins Tierheim, weil es bei seinem Vorbesitzer zu einem Beißvorfall kam (die genaue Situation ist uns leider nicht bekannt). Für Batman suchen wir ein Zuhause am Stadtrand oder Land.
