Bay (approx. 26 kg), a beautiful mixed-breed Border Collie Shepherd dog, came to our shelter due to family changes in her previous home. Now she is waiting for people who will give her a loving and understanding home. Bay initially approaches strangers with some suspicion but remains friendly and usually warms up after a short time. Once trust has been established, she shows herself affectionate, cuddly and builds a close bond with her caregivers. Bay likes to be active and enjoys long walks. She is generally friendly with other dogs but doesn't always need direct contact with them. With her previous owners, she sometimes reacted on the leash to other dogs. We have not seen this behavior so far in our shelter. In everyday life, Bay shows herself sensitive to noise. She is afraid of loud noises and also gets startled when something falls down. However, with a calm and confident companion, she can be easily guided through such situations. According to her previous owners, Bay has difficulty with children. Since we cannot verify this, we do not recommend placing her in a household with children. On the other hand, we can imagine teenagers who know how to treat dogs respectfully. For Bay, we wish for a quiet home with people who give her security and enjoy activities together. If you give Bay time to settle in and build trust, she will gain a loyal and loving companion who closely binds to her humans.

Die hübsche Schäfer Border Collie Mischlingshündin Bay (ca. 26 kg) kam zu uns ins Tierheim, da es in ihrem vorherigen Zuhause familiäre Veränderungen gegeben hat. Nun wartet sie auf Menschen, die ihr ein liebevolles und verständnisvolles Zuhause schenken. Fremden Menschen begegnet Bay anfangs mit einer gewissen Portion Misstrauen. Dabei bleibt sie jedoch stets freundlich und taut meist schon nach kurzer Zeit auf. Hat sie einmal Vertrauen gefasst, zeigt sie sich anhänglich, verschmust und baut eine enge Bindung zu ihren Bezugspersonen auf. Bay ist gerne aktiv und geniesst ausgedehnte Spaziergänge. Mit Artgenossen ist sie grundsätzlich freundlich, braucht aber nicht immer direkten Kontakt zu anderen Hunden. Bei ihren Vorbesitzerinnen hat sie teilweise auch an der Leine auf andere Hunde reagiert. Bei uns hat sich dieses Verhalten bisher nicht gezeigt. Im Alltag zeigt sich Bay geräuschempfindlich. Vor lauten Geräuschen hat sie Angst und auch wenn etwas herunterfällt, erschrickt sie schnell. Mit einer ruhigen und souveränen Begleitung lässt sie sich jedoch gut durch solche Situationen führen. Laut ihren Vorbesitzern hat Bay Mühe mit Kindern. Da wir dies nicht überprüfen können, vermitteln wir sie vorsorglich nicht in einen Haushalt mit Kindern. Jugendliche, die den respektvollen Umgang mit Hunden kennen, können wir uns hingegen gut vorstellen. Für Bay wünschen wir uns ein ruhiges Zuhause bei Menschen, die ihr Sicherheit geben und Freude an gemeinsamen Unternehmungen haben. Wer Bay die Zeit gibt, anzukommen und Vertrauen aufzubauen, gewinnt eine loyale und liebevolle Begleiterin, die ihre Menschen eng an sich bindet.
