Die zurückhaltende Sarong kam zu uns ins Tierheim, weil ihre ehemalige Halterin ihr leider nicht mehr gerecht werden konnte. Aktuell lebt sie auf einem Pflegeplatz und sucht nun ihr eigenes Für-immer-Zuhause. Für die blinde Scottish-Fold-Kätzin war die neue Umgebung anfangs überwältigend. Sarong braucht Zeit, um sich zurechtzufinden und Vertrauen aufzubauen. Geborgene Rückzugsorte geben ihr dabei Sicherheit und die Möglichkeit, in ihrem eigenen Tempo anzukommen. Hat man ihr Vertrauen gewonnen, zeigt Sarong ihre liebevolle Seite und geniesst sanfte Streicheleinheiten. Wichtig ist, sie ruhig anzusprechen und Berührungen behutsam anzukündigen, damit sie nicht erschrickt. Für Sarong wünschen wir uns ein ruhiges Zuhause bei geduldigen Menschen, die ihr Zeit lassen und auf ihre Bedürfnisse eingehen. Eine übersichtliche Umgebung mit festen Plätzen für Möbel, Futter und Katzenklo hilft ihr, sich sicher zu orientieren. Ein besonders liebes und ruhiges Katzengspähnli könnte Sarong sicher Freude bereiten. Wir können sie uns aber auch als Einzelprinzessin vorstellen, die die Aufmerksamkeit ihrer Menschen ganz für sich geniessen darf. Aufgrund ihrer Blindheit suchen wir für Sarong ein Zuhause in Wohnungshaltung mit einem gut gesicherten Balkon oder einer gesicherten Terrasse. Ungesicherter Freigang kommt für sie nicht infrage. Zu kleinen Kindern oder Hunden vermitteln wir Sarong nicht. In einem verständnisvollen Zuhause mit einem ruhigen Alltag darf die sensible Katzendame in ihrem eigenen Tempo aufblühen.
