BAYA

Female · Puppy

Female, 0 months and 25 days old, 600g, estimated adult weight: 10-13kg, mixed breed, Spain, available for adoption in Switzerland, currently in private Andalusian boarding facility at our expense, arrival date: Friday, October 16, 2026 (evening - France neighbor to Geneva), our dogs are in Spain and only travel to the announced arrival date when adopted following our process. Please read our conditions under Adoption Process and Arrival Conditions. Our little Greamlins: Asha, Baya, Anouk, Cosmo & Loki. We rescued them from the Almeria animal shelter on August 11, 2026, a shelter that was overwhelmed and scheduled for euthanasia. It was a terrible summer. They are still very small and fragile, but they are being monitored and we are already publishing them to bring them luck. If all goes well, they will be beautiful. But as they are so small, we remain vigilant. History: This litter of little treasures was found in a cardboard box and taken to the animal shelter by the Guardia Civil. They were taken to our sponsored boarding facility by Cœurs de Chiens. Children: Suitable for children aged 7-10, comfortable with dogs, respectful and attentive. Important: Our puppies only travel outside Spain from the age of 3 months and 21 days, i.e. after vaccination at 12 weeks against rabies + 21 days EU Zone 1 norms. Before 6 months, they arrive unspayed/unneutered: spaying/neutering will be contractually mandatory from the required age, which will be specified to you. Adoptive profile: People aged 28-65 max, stable and responsible, first-time adopters welcome. Very high availability during the day (walks every 2-3 hours) for cleanliness. Presence is essential. Good physical condition and great patience are essential. Mandatory commitment to a regular educational and socialization program (monitored by the association). Other dogs accepted if they are balanced and spayed/neutered. Secure garden a plus for cleanliness, but if there is no garden, it is mandatory to have small areas of greenery nearby and quickly accessible for regular needs. Minimum of stairs. If above the 2nd floor, an elevator is mandatory. Thoughtful and long-term adoption. We always prioritize contexts outside cities and large buildings. At the end of the contact form is a message area, we like to read real motivations and useful additional information. We will respond to adoption requests that match the criteria specified as closely as possible. Adoption conditions Adoption requestCOOPER Dog following

About BAYA

What life with BAYA looks like

BAYA is a puppy/kitten dog waiting at Association Coeurs de Chiens in Lausanne (VD).

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting BAYA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about BAYA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Association Coeurs de Chiens handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw BAYA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt BAYA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Association Coeurs de Chiens will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is BAYA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if BAYA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Association Coeurs de Chiens early rather than rehoming privately; they know BAYA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
