I am addressing Becky, whose pictures have touched my heart deeply. A call for help has reached us from Romania, and we hope so much that it will be heard. Dear Becky, you have spent your entire dog life in the animal shelter. Your days are endless and bleak. I see fear in your eyes, yes, despair and hopelessness. You are tired of life, who could blame you? Dear Becky, don't give up! There must be someone in this world who will give you a home. Someone who will allow you a life with dignity. Someone who will love you. It will take patience until you trust and an infinite amount of love. You have barely known anything. How wonderful that you get along so well with your fellow animals. It would be great if in your new home there was already a dog buddy. One who is already familiar with life and can show you how life works in a real home. What a wonderful idea, little Becky? And the corresponding person could show you the world out there. What it's like to feel grass under your paws, jump over puddles, balance on tree trunks, lick liverwurst straight from the tube, and snuggle with you on the sofa in the evening. I know that this will take time, because you will need time until all of this is possible. And confidence will be needed.
