Belano

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 3 years

Belano, a friendly and lively Hungarian mixed-breed dog, was found wandering aimlessly outside Kecskemét on August 10, 2026, and taken to a local animal shelter. A microchip check revealed that his owners no longer wanted him, which is unfortunate, as it seems he wasn't very important to them. Fortunately, he doesn't deserve that. He's now looking for new humans who can be relied upon and who are serious about him. We're keeping our fingers crossed that Belano will soon find his ticket to happiness. Belano is making the best of his new situation. Nevertheless, he wants to leave the shelter as soon as possible and move to a real home. Belano is a friendly, lively, and sweet dog. He's a bit shy at first, but once he realizes that people mean well, a curious and happy puppy emerges. He hasn't lost faith in humans, despite being bitterly disappointed by his owners. He's discovered how wonderful it is to receive affection and attention from humans, which was probably lacking in his previous life, and he has a lot of catching up to do. He walks well on a leash, practice makes perfect. Of course, Belano still needs to learn many things from the dog alphabet, but with patient guidance, he will quickly catch up. Belano wants to explore the big wide world and spend many happy hours with his humans. He gets along well with his canine friends and is currently (September 4, 2026) being integrated into a mixed pack. We're looking for loving and adventurous people who will give him a quiet place to settle and then a varied and exciting life. Full family connection, dog school, long walks, sports activities, play and fun, enough rest periods, and plenty of cuddles and love would make Belano very happy. Belano brings a lot of joy to his new home. Who will Belano open a new chapter in his life with? Belano can travel from around the end of September/early October 2026 if he finds a home or foster home.

DE·Show original

Was soll man da noch sagen….

About Belano

What life with Belano looks like

Belano is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Belano, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Belano?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Belano on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Belano if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Belano already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Belano isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Belano and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
