Belinda

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

Belinda is a gentle, friendly, and obedient 2-3 year old female dog (as of 13.09.2026) who was found abandoned on a field in Romania with two of her puppies by one of our volunteers. Unfortunately, her third puppy was also found abandoned about 15 kilometers away from her and her siblings. All three were safely secured and are now in a safe environment. Belinda is a special dog who is calm, open, and easy to handle. She is also very obedient and makes it easy for her owners to work with her. She gets along well with other dogs and is social and uncomplicated. We currently do not know how she gets along with cats. We are looking for a loving home for Belinda where she can finally be the center of attention. After all she has done for her puppies, she deserves to experience the joy of a safe and loving home. Children aged 5 and up are suitable for Belinda. Belinda is vaccinated, chipped, dewormed, spayed, and has a EU pet passport. All our dogs travel with official Traces papers and Paragraph 11 permit to Germany. Our dogs are also tested for Mediterranean diseases with a rapid test. The adoption fee is 520€ plus 30€ for the purchase of a safety harness. Note: When we assign breeds to our dogs, we are based solely on their appearance and observable behavior (phenotype). This is done to the best of the association's knowledge and the participating veterinarians. However, these details do not necessarily correspond to the actual genetic makeup (genotype), as this can only be reliably determined by a DNA analysis. In addition, the behavior and character description of the respective animal is based on careful observations by the local animal rescuers or the respective foster homes. It should be noted that these assessments are based solely on the current local conditions in the shelters or foster homes. It is important to understand that the dog may behave differently after a successful

About Belinda

What life with Belinda looks like

Belinda is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Rescued Souls e.V. in Pfinztal.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Belinda, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Belinda?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rescued Souls e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Belinda on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Belinda if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Rescued Souls e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Belinda already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Belinda isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rescued Souls e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Belinda and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
