Bella

Female · Young · 2 years

Bella is young, and her story began too early with a farewell instead of a promise of safety. She came to the animal shelter as a surrendered pet - apparently due to her owner's asthma. Was it really like that? We don't know. What we do know is that her world suddenly stopped, and a safe home turned into cold kennels and strange noises. Bella is all white, as delicate as a snowflake. Her name fits her perfectly - she is beautiful not only in appearance but also in character. She is a dog who completely melts into a person. She looks into eyes as if she wants to ask: "Will you stay this time?" In the animal shelter, she is still a bit lost and scared, because noise and constant movement are not a place for such a sensitive soul. During walks, she shows that she once had a home - she can walk on a leash, and she calmly observes other dogs without unnecessary emotions. She has great potential and a desire to learn, she just needs time, patience, and stability. It is very likely that due to her huge love for people, she may struggle with separation anxiety - Bella loves with all her heart and gives herself totally to a relationship. Her attitude towards children has not yet been tested, but everything points to the fact that in the right hands, she could also find herself in a family with the youngest. Bella is a dog who doesn't ask for much - just her presence, warmth, and the feeling that she is important. For Belli, the greatest dream is not long walks or a full bowl. Her dream is a person. One forever. If you decide to open the door of your home to her, she will repay you with what she has most precious - an unlimited love and loyalty that cannot be described in words.

PL·Show original

About Bella

What life with Bella looks like

Bella is a medium-sized young adult dog waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Potential separation anxiety

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bella, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bella?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bella on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bella if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bella already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bella isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bella and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
