Bellas Welpen

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Puppy · 2 months

Sleepy – reserved Sira – reserved India – reserved Caramelo – reserved Have you already met our charming mixed Water Spaniel pup Bella? No? Then let me briefly tell you her story: Bella just celebrated her first birthday, but in February 2026, she didn’t move into the care of Arca Sevilla alone, but with her five (sweet as candy) puppies. The loving but overwhelmed momma lived with her brood on a field in an earth hole – a decidedly bad place to give little world conquerors a good start in life. The clumsy, still uncoordinated furballs that clung fearfully to their equally nervous momma have grown into wonderful clowns that sweeten their foster family’s day (and make them quite a challenge). They’ve all long forgotten their bumpy start in puppyhood, and are now ready to write a new chapter, namely the conquest of their own family. When you lay the little uniques side by side, it becomes clear that, besides the Water Spaniel genes of their momma, other hereditary traits found their way into this playful litter, and one must seriously ask if they all have the same daddy. So different they are in appearance, they all show great motivation to seize world domination without detours. This planet is one giant playground and its inhabitants are all friendly – so the flag of the now 2-month-old research team reads “On to New Horizons and Adventures!” in large red letters. The tricolor displays in the quintet suggest a Bodeguero influence. We have here highly intelligent mixed breeds of retrievers with a terrier touch. This mix promises plenty of fun, chaos, colorful adventures, and the possibility to amaze the neighborhood with new tricks every week. But you also have to reckon with independence, furniture sieges (even if you always thought the dog wouldn’t be allowed in the bed or on the couch), debates about whether the last cracker was really the last or more like the second to last, and the demand for lots of time and attention (but that’s true for all puppies – maybe yours will just grow a little slower). Sleepy, the trailblazer, has already stolen a family’s heart and will soon move into his own home in Spain, but his brother Caramelo and his sisters Sira, India, and Tiana are more than ready to make scrolling at this moment impossible and telepathically force you to immediately contact our matchmakers to learn how one of our Wuslons could soon be laid in your arms – a place that won’t be given again in the next 15 years.

India – reserviert Caramelo – reserviert Kennen Sie schon unsere bildhübsche Wasserhund-Mix-Dame Bella?

About Bellas Welpen

What life with Bellas Welpen looks like

Bellas Welpen is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. in Gernsbach.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bellas Welpen, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bellas Welpen?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bellas Welpen on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bellas Welpen if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bellas Welpen already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bellas Welpen isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bellas Welpen and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
