Belle & Rosie – Bonded Pair

Female · Senior · 13 years

Belle and Rosie LUTON AREA, BEDS Adoption fee for Belle and Rosie is £250 BELLE 13 years old Female, mini, red, smooth Neutered ROSIE 10 years old Female, mini red dapple, smooth Neutered Belle and Rosie are a bonded mother-daughter pair of dogs we rescued earlier in the year, following the sad hospitalisation of their owner. Unfortunately, the dogs had been left to their own devices for many months and, although obviously much loved, were seriously over-weight when they moved into foster. In foster Belle and Rosie have blossomed and are a friendly, easy-going pair who love their walks and their snuggles. They get on well with the other resident dogs and are happy to get lots of attention from people outside the home as well (and with this cute pair, this happens a lot!) With more activity, their energy levels have improved and they have started to lose weight, we expect this to continue. Their new family will need to be committed to house-training – because they were left on their own for extended periods of time, and because they are older ladies with bladders to match, they will need reminding about where to do their business. Adopters can expect improvement, but if you do have fitted carpets throughout, these two might not be the right match. Belle and Rosie sleep together at night in the kitchen. They are in good health for their age with no ongoing problems, although their teeth could be in better shape – we will discuss this with potential adopters. Belle and Rosie have come through so much and remain the sweetest-natured dogs. They are looking for a calm, quiet home with a nice garden to mooch in, a comfy sofa or two to sunbathe on and for a family who is around much of the time. If you think you can offer this pair the forever home they deserve, please get in touch with us: . About Belle & Rosie – Bonded Pair

What life with Belle & Rosie – Bonded Pair looks like

Belle & Rosie – Bonded Pair is a senior dog waiting at The Red Foundation in Pentlow Street.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Belle & Rosie – Bonded Pair, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Belle & Rosie – Bonded Pair?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. The Red Foundation handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Belle & Rosie – Bonded Pair on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Belle & Rosie – Bonded Pair if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — The Red Foundation will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Belle & Rosie – Bonded Pair already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Belle & Rosie – Bonded Pair isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with The Red Foundation early rather than rehoming privately; they know Belle & Rosie – Bonded Pair and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
