Benito

Mixed Breed · Male · Kitten · 6 months

Benito fecha de nacimiento / dob: 26-04-2026 aprox.Personality: Benito is a cat whose confidence makes itself known from the very first moment. Handsome, self-assured, and incredibly affectionate, he’s one of those cats who won’t wait for you to come looking for them: they’ll come straight to you instead! 🥰He loves having company and firmly believes that if there’s a person nearby, that’s exactly where he should be. He might hop onto your lap while you’re working, settle down on your desk to supervise what you’re doing, or come straight over to demand his share of attention. Because Benito isn’t exactly shy when it comes to showing affection… or asking for it.And if there’s one thing that makes him even more recognizable, it’s the way he communicates. Benito is quite the screamer: he lets out little squeaks and noises that are all his own to get attention and make sure no one forgets him—but don’t worry, we’re not talking about high decibels; he’s just a good communicator. 😂 Especially when mealtime rolls around. Wet food in the morning and evening is one of his favourite parts of the day. If you walk into the room without bringing it, get ready to hear his opinion on the matter. How dare you show up empty-handed? He was expecting dinner! 🍽️😹Of course, with all that socialising and chatting, Benito also knows how to get comfortable. One of his favourite sleeping positions is on his back, with all four paws in the air and not a care in the world. And if there’s a suitcase nearby, even better! 😂 His foster home has one that he’s turned into one of his favourite spots for a good belly-up nap. Because apparently, beds are nice, but there’s just something special about a suitcase. 🧳It’s a pretty perfect reflection of his personality: a cat who feels at ease, trusts the people around him, and has absolutely no problem being his true self. 🐾Benito is a particularly confident, affectionate, and expressive cat who fills a home with his presence and makes sure life is never boring. He’s the kind of companion who will seek out your company, make himself comfortable on your lap, and find a way to remind you he’s there… even when you’re trying to work. 💛Although they’re not actually brothers, someone should tell them that! 😂 Benito and Bruno have become inseparable companions. 🥰 They get along wonderfully and love sharing their everyday lives, so wherever you find one, there’s a good chance the other won’t be far away. They have different personalities, but they seem to understand each other perfectly and keep each other company on this little adventure they share. 🐾If adopting as a pair we recommend: His brother from another mother, Bruno—of course! Can Iive with kids? Yes! He'll be thrilled to have some company from the little ones. Can live with other animals? Yes. Untested with dogs but we think he'd be fine.Ideal home: Along with his beloved half-brother, Bruno, he’ll adapt to any type of family—whether it’s a single person, a couple, or a larger family. Please note that we give priority to people who already have another compatible cat living with them or who are adopting a pair.A balcony or terrace is always a plus! Adopta! <img src="

About Benito

What life with Benito looks like

Benito is a kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Gatalunya Cat Rescue in Spain.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee. Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Benito, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Benito?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Gatalunya Cat Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Benito on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Benito if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Gatalunya Cat Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Benito already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Benito isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Gatalunya Cat Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Benito and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
