Benni

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Benni has found a home! His story: Benni is one of three siblings – together with his sisters Pamplona and Sakura, he was found with the alleged parents Nele and Sammy by the roadside. The little dog family had great luck and was discovered in time and brought to safety. Now the three siblings are searching for their forever home. Benni is about 4 months old and is expected to grow to a medium size. He has fluffy fur in various shades of brown and beautiful eyes in green/brown that immediately catch the eye and look deep. In terms of temperament, he is a very sweet, open young male dog. Compared to his sisters, Benni is initially a little bit shyer, but not at all afraid – he just needs a moment to check out new situations and then warms up quickly. In shelter life, he shows typical puppy behavior, being playful, curious, and very people-oriented. He loves to play with his siblings and is happy to receive any attention from people. Everything a family dog should be able to do – house training, walking on a leash, basic commands, being alone – Benni can still learn. With patience, loving consistency, and a dash of humor, he will surely understand it quickly. As he approaches the young dog puberty, he will, like all young males, surely test some boundaries and occasionally forget the one or the other thing. People who guide him through this phase calmly, clearly, and with a smile will end up with a great companion by their side. Thanks to a positive adoption, thanks to Katja S., Benni has now received an identity and can finally go on the search for his home. As of: 11.02. This animal can be anxious in unfamiliar situations. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Lieben Dank an Katja S.. Stand: 11.02.2026

About Benni

What life with Benni looks like

Benni is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Benni, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Benni?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Benni on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Benni if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Benni already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Benni isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Benni and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
