Adopt Mingo & Ribó (conjunta)
Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 7 years
Mingo (12/11/18) and . Mingo arrived with back problems and seemed sad and hunched. And . The two lived in cages, facing each other. We noticed they wagged their tails when they saw each other. We ended up putting them together and a friendship was born. It was a bit scary to see those two sea lions playing, as Mingo had back problems, but it was undeniable that the mental health benefit for both was greater than the risk. Mingo enjoyed it and . We found a more comfortable location within the animal shelter for them, as the adoption prospects for this type of animal are very low. And they ended up with their own tin shack, wooden shed, yard, and pool. But that wasn't the end of it. There were two sister sea lions, Jane and Moura, who were also very shy and unsocialized. They always hid inside the shed. And we thought maybe they could fit in with them and form a clan. We organized a "First Dates" type of meeting where everyone took off years and defined themselves as "very crazy." We couldn't believe what we were seeing, but it worked. Now the four live in a type of polyamorous cohousing. We know a four-way adoption will be very, very difficult, but who knows? Maybe someone has a house with a yard to share their life with them. It would be a very lucky person. And if it's not possible to take the four of them, they'll have to maintain their relationship from a distance... Will you be the lucky one?

Mingo (12/11/18) y .
