Bentley &#8211

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 3 years

Bentley, a beautiful 3-year-old Malinois. In rehabilitation foster care at Samitidog I spent over a year in the Roubaix pound, so much so that I had lost hope. And then one day they took me to rehabilitation foster care at Samitidog, and my life brightened up. In just a few months, I learned not to get angry when a car, bike or jogger passes by. Admittedly, scooters still annoy me a bit, but I'm learning to ignore them. I also learned not to get angry when I meet people whose gait doesn't please me, or when I meet another dog. I can even walk calmly with a dog friend without a muzzle, and play with him on the training ground. My qualities? There are many! First, I am very handsome and have a gentle gaze, everyone says so. As a worthy representative of my breed, I learn quickly. I'm very affectionate and cuddly as soon as you gain my trust. I'm dynamic and have an athlete's physique, but I appreciate comfort and quiet moments: no need to throw me a toy when I'm sunbathing in the grass! I have solid education foundations that will need to be maintained diligently and with kindness. I am loyal; handsome boys don't come around often! My ideal adopter(s) casting? Someone who knows the needs and behavior of dogs, preferably Malinois or other shepherds. Someone patient and motivated, ready to invest in the continuity of education and socialization work put in place. Someone who can see in my eyes the extraordinary and tender dog that hides there. Someone with a garden who takes me for walks every day for at least 1 hour. Someone without children or other animals. Someone who is ready to love me forever, so I can finally settle down. If you match this profile and I match yours, then don't wait, because I am already waiting for you! Is my profile interesting to you and do you want to meet me? Contact the LPA-NF in Lille at 03-20-52-52-16 or the address that will put you in touch with my foster family!

About Bentley &#8211

What life with Bentley &#8211 looks like

Bentley &#8211 is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at LPA Nord de la France in Lille.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bentley &#8211, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bentley &#8211?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. LPA Nord de la France handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bentley &#8211 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bentley &#8211 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — LPA Nord de la France will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bentley &#8211 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bentley &#8211 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with LPA Nord de la France early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bentley &#8211 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
