About Bertie
Introduction: Bertie is a sweet sensitive boy who is looking for a very experienced home. Bertie needs commitment to ongoing behavioural training. Home wanted: Bertie will be looking for an active home who will meet both his physical and mental needs. He is looking for a kind and patient home to help support him during his adolescence and to support his sensitive side. Bertie would prefer a quieter home with access to his own secure garden. He is house trained, OK travelling, and OK left alone for short periods. Behaviour towards people/children: Bertie is friendly and affectionate with known people but can be timid initially with new people. He will need support with being introduced to visitors coming to the home. Ideally we are looking to place Bertie to a home where there is minimal interaction with visitors. We advise he is best in an ADULT ONLY home. Other animals: Bertie is social with other dogs and likes having friends, but would like to be the only dog please. Could not live with cats. Additional needs (behavioural/extra support): Bertie is currently under the guidance of a clinical behaviourist and this will need to continue into his new home to ensure he is getting the right support. Adopters will need to adapt their living space to meet Bertie's management plan.
