Beth

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

Details: Age: Born 2024 approx Sex: Female Colour: Pale Brown/Grey Tabby Beth turned up as a stray out in the countryside. No idea where she came from and no one has ever come to claim her. However she must have had at one time a lovely, caring home because she is absolutely adorable. She is very pretty and so affectionate. She loves to be brushed and is eager to sit on any available knee. There really isn’t a nasty bone in her body. She is clean and loves her food. If you are looking for the perfect companion, Beth is the one.We think she may be best as an only cat and will enjoy being able to go outside, so her new home needs to be one with a garden and away from busy roads. She seems a bit nervous of dogs so a dog free home would be preferable.Beth’s ideal home would be with a single person or couple. Vaccinated. Neutered. Microchipped.

About Beth

What life with Beth looks like

Beth is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Cheadle & District Animal Welfare Society in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Beth, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Beth?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Cheadle & District Animal Welfare Society handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Beth on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Beth if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Cheadle & District Animal Welfare Society will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Beth already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Beth isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Cheadle & District Animal Welfare Society early rather than rehoming privately; they know Beth and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
